California Here We Come

Or rather, there we went. For Spring Break we went to visit Steve and Heather and their cute kids. It was so good to see them! We don't get to visit very often so it was extra fun! Mike misses his brother and we wish they could live closer! Heather is a great example to me. She's a fantastic mother and wife! She inspires me to be a better person. Thanks Heather!! And thanks to all of you for putting up with us for a few days. We had a great time!

Our kids making Easter treats in between Conference sessions. Heather is amazing, she just made up this recipe on the spot (she didn't even need directions :)) I'm so NOT expiremental in the kitchen! I need to be more inventive.
Our visit was all about playing. We watched Conference, played WII (Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz - my new favorite!) and visited some REALLY fun parks! Then we put the kids to bed and stayed up late watching movies. More like we tried not to fall asleep watching movies.

Lizzy got this crazy idea in her head that it was her birthday. (big surprise-she loves to pretend it's her birthday) So we had cake and icecream and candles for everyone.
Here's our boys at one of the parks we played at. They are "hiding" under the climbing wall. And our girls on the swings. About all Lizzy did for two days was swing! The dinosaur park was SO WINDY!This spinning seat was so fun! It uses gravity and your weight to spin around and around. It just keeps getting faster and faster until someone stops it for you. I of course loved it. Marisa was afraid to sit all the way inside at first but she eventually tried it and loved it too.Caitlin was a happy baby! As long as the wind wasn't blowing on her.
